Halfpenny Development Ltd is a Controller of data, meaning we gather and hold information. We are strict with information sharing, and the parties we may have to share with are also subject to the same CPDR regulations and obligations.

If there is any breach in security of data that represents a risk to any individual we work with, it will be reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours, and the individual(s) concerned will be informed.

What we collect

  • demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests;
  • other information relevant only to customer requirements, surveys and/or offers.

Our Clients’ information

  • Information regarding clients will not be given to third parties, nor displayed on Halfpenny Development’s website or company literature.
  • Halfpenny Development Ltd. will not discuss individual client’s support requirements with any third party unless permission is given.
  • A confidential record of contact with Halfpenny Development Ltd. in their capacity as Dyslexia Specialists will be kept. The information held allows the company to ensure that we support individuals and organisations as fully as possible. All clients receiving advice and support are issued with a copy of the confidentiality policy and asked to sign the confidentiality statement before work begins.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • We may use the information to improve our products and services;
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided;
